Disco de la semana: Mr. Bungle - Mr. Bungle (1991)

Tenía que empezar esta "sección" con un disco que me gusta mucho, uno de mis favoritos, de hecho.

Mr. Bungle es quizás la banda más extraña firmada por una disquera "grande" (estaban firmados por Warner Bros) debido, en gran parte, a que su vocalista, el gran Mike Patton, estaba con otra banda que estaba teniendo un gran exito en ese entonces: Faith No More.

La banda estaba formada por el ya mencionado Mike Patton en la voz, Trey Spruance en la guitarra, el genial Trevor Dunn en el bajo, Danny Heifetz en la batería, ademas de otros músicos participan en el album (lo siento, no recuerdo sus nombres). La banda mezcla generos que van desde el ska hasta el metal, pasando por el jazz, funk, punk, música de peliculas, hardcore, todo a veces en la misma canción. A todo esto añadanle la presencia del gran músico de vanguardia John Zorn en la producción del disco y obtienen uno de los albumes más extraños que se hayan hecho. Definitivamente no es una banda para todos, pero si le quieren entrar, este es un muy buen comienzo.

Rock Band 2: Track list*

En el marco del E3 2008 se presentó la secuela del gran simulador musical Rock Band. La principal novedad, hasta ahora, es el hecho de que la batería será inalámbrica, tal como la de su competencia directa, Guitar Hero: World Tour. Sin embargo, lo que más me llamo la atención, es la lista de canciones que vendran en el juego, las cuales son las siguientes:

Como pueden ver, hay de todo para todos, pero a mi parecer, este track list luce aún mejor que el de la versión anterior, pero no acaba ahí, esas son las canciones que vienen en el juego por default, pero a parte, EA y Harmonix anunciaron que habra aproximadamente 500 canciones para descargar para fin de año. Ahora falta ver lo que hará Activision con Guitar Hero: World Tour.
